The German lawyer Walter Linse (1903 – 1953) was actively involved in the “Arisierung”, the expropriation of Jews, under National Socialism. In 1938, he took over the “processing of de-Jewification procedures” at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Chemnitz. Together with high-ranking NSDAP functionaries, Linse ensured that around 400 Jewish owners had their businesses taken away.
